MFCU donated $50,000 to United Way!
We surprised both staff and United Way representatives by donating $50,000 during our biannual Make A Difference Day. The following United Ways are recipients of $10,000 each: United Way of Midland County, United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties, Inc., United Way of Clare and Gladwin Counties, United Way of Mecosta-Osceola and the Heart of West Michigan United Way.
“I am very excited we have chosen United Way to donate to for this Make A Difference Day event,” said Rebecca Lobsinger, Branch Manager in Mount Pleasant. “I am the Vice Chair and the Community Investment Committee co-chair for the United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties, Inc. and their impact on the community can be life changing for many. Being part of this amazing organization has changed my life as well. Being able to give back to my community and help those that are struggling is very rewarding. I’m looking forward to continually engaging Members First with United Way.”
We gathered for our biannual Make A Difference Day on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018. Make A Difference Day is a day full of a staff education of the strategic plan, celebrating successes, looking forward to the future, personal development and community impact.
MFCU impacts the community through our Community Difference Project. The project was created to impact peoples' lives in positive ways. Whether it's to volunteer, perform a good deed or provide support for people in need, we're here to create better lives for people in our communities. The chosen organization to receive a donation was United Way.
“United Way is a trusted leader in our community that ensures all individuals and families thrive,” explained Atasha Johnson, Branch Manager in Midland. “As a leader at Members First Credit Union I believe we give the best of ourselves when we join together! I choose to Live United because I know it will help shape the future of our communities.”
