Credit Unions Are Focused On Serving You!

Credit Unions gained popularity in America in response to a famous downturn in the country’s economy, The Great Depression. In 1934, President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Federal Credit Union Act in order to “make credit available and promote thrift through a national system”.

Fast forward decades later, credit unions helped our members out of the Recession of 2008 by putting our members needs first and offering loans and mortgages, which many other financial institutions were unable to do at the time.

Our current situation is no different. COVID-19 may be changing the way in which we interact with the world but one thing remains the same: your credit union is here for you!

Credit unions have a unique commitment to helping our communities, local businesses, and the people that make up both. As not-for-profit organizations, we don’t answer to shareholders, we are member owned and operated. We exist to serve you, even during the hardest of times. If the COVID-19 pandemic is causing you financial hardship, please call our Contact Center to discover ways Members First Credit Union can help.

Don’t forget, your money is safe, and your accounts are fully insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) up to $250,000. There is no risk to keeping money in your account, but there are countless risks to holding cash.

Thank you for being a member of Members First Credit Union. We are proud to be a part of the credit union difference and we hope you are too!

Disappointment

You should probably look into changing it I've had several experiences that have completely change my thoughts of the way you conduct business and allow employees to treat" co-owners" your customers on several different occasions I was not the only member there that was treated disrespectfully and down right rude all over a negative $40 account balance I was unaware of discontinued at the time but basically myself and my daughter's grandmother needed a paper notarized for my youngest daughter to have surgery. It was on my account a negative $40 also my daughter's grandmother has an account with Members 1st and I can guarantee you it's never been negative but neither one of us could get that paper notarized so my daughter could get her surgery without any complications making it any harder but no I was talk to you in front of other of your customers about my negative $40 account bought my daughter's grandmother was turned down just for a notary over $40 you want to help your community will you weren't helping my daughter when she needed her surgery when we were already all under stress what kind of reasoning could you possibly explain to people and would you feel good about your decisions and decisions of your employees if I was to let everyone know how we were treated over $40 not to mention I've owed you money before and I've always paid you and don't tell me how much you care about your communities you care about taking from people who already are low income and you enjoy it so you have a great day and I hope you can feel good about trying to come off like some caring Community loving Members First Credit Union LOL your heart list you're rude and you allow it also you like to take from people that already have struggles financially good day
