Bethany Dutcher Promoted to Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer

10/21/2025

Members First Credit Union is proud to announce the appointment of Bethany Dutcher as its new chief marketing & strategy officer, effective immediately. Dutcher brings more than 20 years of credit union experience to the role. She previously served as vice president of marketing at Members First.

In her new position, Dutcher will oversee the credit union’s marketing, strategic planning, and brand development, guiding initiatives to ensure M1 continues to create meaningful impact for its members and Michigan communities.

During her time at M1, Dutcher has played a pivotal role in shaping the credit union’s growth and member experience, spearheading the 2023 brand refresh, launching the Joy in Teaching Grant Initiative and contributing to membership growth of 12.45%. With a strong focus on brand strategy and community connection, she is recognized as a leader who drives both innovation and impact in the credit union movement.

Dutcher also contributed to the development of new products and services designed to fulfill M1’s promise of helping people on their journey of wellbeing. These include the reverse tiered Money Market, which removes barriers to savings and helps members build emergency funds faster; Thrive Checking, which ensures every member finds a checking account that fits their needs; and the upcoming Greenlight Debit Card, empowering M1’s youngest members to build financial literacy and wellbeing habits early in life.

“Bethany has been instrumental in driving our brand and strategic growth, we are excited to welcome her to the C-suite. She has an incredible ability to connect our strategy to our purpose, ensuring every initiative strengthens our members’ wellbeing,” shared Carrie Iafrate, president and CEO of Members First Credit Union.

“I’m honored to step into this role and proud to lead a team that’s passionate about serving our members,” Dutcher said. “Together, we’ll shape strategies that deepen connection, drive meaningful growth, and help us create thriving communities.”
