MFCU to Make a Positive Difference in Mt Pleasant

We will be building a full-service branch in Mt. Pleasant's Union Township. The 3,200 square foot facility will be located at the corner of Bluegrass Road and Encore Drive. We are dedicated to Making a Positive Difference for you and the communities that we serve. "We are excited to be joining a growing community that aligns with our mission," said Eric Brubaker, President and CEO. "We already have a strong group of members in Mt. Pleasant. This building will allow us to give them an even higher level of service while welcoming in their family, friends, and business's."

Construction, using local contractors, is expected to begin after the first of the year with an opening slated for January 2012. All those who live, work, worship, go to school, and do business in Isabella County are already eligible for membership with the credit union. Beyond serving the community with beneficial financial products and services, we plan to promote financial literacy, be involved with the Chamber of Commerce, and support community organizations.

Protect Yourself from Scams

It has come to our attention that a phone scam has been happening where a robo-caller is trying to collect personal information about your debit card. The robo-caller asks you to press 1 to reactivate your card. We have had reports where this is happening in the area and we want you to know that those calls are not coming from us.

Steps to protect yourself from scams:

Be wary of anyone who asks for personal information. Do not give out any information to a person, business or website you have not verified with a reputable source.
E-mail addresses or web addresses that have a company name in the address are not necessarily from that company. Go to the official website for contact information.
Your social security number should not be necessary unless you are applying for credit. Do not give it out.
Do not open e-mail attachments from unfamiliar sources. They could contain malicious programs designed to steal your personal information.

If you receive a call, e-mail or another form of communication that does not seem right to you, please call us as soon as possible so we can help you protect your valuable information.
